Parade of Antique and Modern Fire Trucks, First Responders, Helicopter Landing
WHAT: 37th Annual Fire Truck Parade & Muster
WHEN: Saturday, June 17, 2023 (Father’s Day weekend)
WHO: Presented by Mile High Hook & Ladder in partnership with South Metro Fire Rescue

WHAT: The Fire Muster begins with a parade of handsomely-restored antique and state-of-the-art
in-service fire/rescue apparatus, followed by a “muster” (gathering) of the parade vehicles
at Arapahoe Community College. Muster highlights:
• Free fire truck rides provided by MHHL members
• Junior firefighter games: kids’ll get soaked during the bucket brigade and shooting a
fire hose at a “House-a-Fire” with assistance from members of the Arapahoe Rescue
Patrol
• City and wildland firefighters, plus other first responders
• Health and wellness information provided by area hospitals
• Emergency preparedness tips from the American Red Cross, Salvation Army,
National Weather Service and South Metro Safety Foundation
• Selfies with Smokey Bear, icon of the U.S. Forest Service
• Real-life automobile extrication demonstration with the “Jaws of Life”
• Children’s Hospital Colorado “Children’s One Flight Team” medical helicopter landing
WHERE:
Parade: 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Heads west on Main Street in Historic Downtown Littleton
Muster: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Arapahoe Community College, 5900 S. Santa Fe, Littleton, CO
WHY: Originally founded as a fundraiser for the Children’s Hospital Burn Program, the Fire
Muster is hosted by Mile High Hook & Ladder, an all-volunteer nonprofit organization
comprised of fire truck collectors as well as active and retired firefighters “dedicated to
the preservation, restoration, and operation of fire apparatus in America”.
COST: FREE, fun, educational for the whole family!
